Exquisite 19th Century Faceted, Ormolu, Gold-plated Metal, Jeweled Scent Bottle, Made in Austria (see label) of Austrian Amethyst crystal, and Austrian crystal jewels. The largest jewel, round, in center front, is flanked on both sides by cornucopias which are filled with fruit; emerging from behind each, is a ferocious, fanciful creature that most resembles a lion. Opaque white, French Opaline, hinged Casket with ornate gold-plated metal mounts, and nice working clasp. In some lighting, the opaline has a lovely, very slight green cast. Most of the gilding has worn away; one small chip on back left corner, two encased inclusions -- very tiny, pinpoint black front lower left, and small white inclusion above back mount (pictured). A most unusual, and lovely vase the maker of which we are unsure, although it reminds us of what Eddy Scheepers refers to on his Loetz site, as "Kralik Silveria," although the tiny diamond pattern of this vase is pink opalescent, where his examples are, lusterous iridesence. A gorgeous example of art nouveau glass, most likely originating in Czechoslovakia, but with a sterling silver top by British firm Robert Pringle & Sons. This lovely octagonal flacon with tapered shape and beveled bottom edge, is carved with a spray of muguet-des-bois or lily-of-the-valley. An exquisite late 19th Century, to early 20th, Venetian Tazza (a footed serving bowl distinctively Venetian), probably Salviati Dott., Antonio. It is pale green, girasol (opalesence) and much real gold leaf dust throughout the glass. Small ribs swirl out from the center, whirling perfectly out to the edges where it is rimmed in emerald green glass.
