Hand quilted Cotton Crazy Doll quilt in pristine condition. Border fabric cleverly used to mimic pieced strips but in reality, each side is one piece of fabric. Measures 8 1/2" x 17". Lancaster County, Pennsylvania origin; circa 1880.

Classic example of a Lone Star (aka Texas Star or Star of Bethlehem) quilt. This truly is a Lone Star, although in reality, the name refers to the logo of the state of Texas rather than the number of stars. Well quilted with wreaths, cables and flowers. Immaculate condition. Measures 72" square. Maryland origin; circa 1880.

SOLD
This New York Beauty is a fine example of one of the most striking and difficult to execute quilt patterns. It is not often seen because it requires such skill and patience. This example is especially striking because of the use of solid colors. Stars in the center of each block with a different color add additional punch. Very well quilted. Professionally laundered; immaculate condition; any unevenness that may appear in thumbnails is on the monitor only, not on the quilt. Measures 73" x 79"; c... Click for details

This is one of the best examples of a Tumbling Blocks Quilt that I have seen. The pieces are small; the fabrics are beautiful and varied. Each block measures 1" to a side. Condition is excellent. Measures 70" x 86". Circa 1880.

I am confident in describing this Halloween Doll Quilt as one of a kind. Witches, black cats, pumpkins and crescent moons of printed fabric are appliqued on a gauzy cotton ground. Backing is cotton flannel. Tied on the back; circa 1930. Measures 16" x 20"; Pennsylvania origin. Several discolored spots are visible in photos but no holes or tears.

Original pattern hooked rug of two Percheron horses as part of a terrific composition. Wonderful colors. Horse on the left seems to have a bit of a smile or perhaps a "come hither" expression. Excellent condition; professionally mounted. Stretcher measures 33" wide and 36 1/2" tall. Circa 1920's.

SOLD

Here we have a wonderful 19th century needlepoint mat. Hand worked in a lively and colorful paisley motif on a green ground, it is attached to a linen backing and trimmed with ribbon. The backing is somewhat soiled and frayed, but not objectionably so. The needlepoint is in fine condition but would benefit from reblocking. It measures approximately 18" by 12".
