Lovely cut steel beaded purse in excellent condition. At c.25 beads to the inch it's very fine work. A combination of gold, silver, bronze and muted black color beads, this geometric patterned purse is very elegant. (I'm afraid the pictures are not accurate to the colors, I will try to take better ones. The silver looks too lavender)Attaching the chain to the purse frame are two swans, and the frame itself is in fine condition. As is common with these purses, it opens by pressing down on the cla... I found this vintage needlepoint and had it made into a down filled pillow. The pillow is needlepoint, with the floral design in petipoint. The colors are rich and deep...chocolate, rose, blue, pale gold, green. The fringe that surrounds the pillow is multicolored silk and picks up the colors in the needlepoint very nicely. The back is finished in a loden green. The size is approximately 15" square. The pillow is clean and in excellent condition.

The enameled deco frame and the combination of cream, purple, chartreuse and coral enamel make this bag special. The mesh is in perfect condition, with only some minor enamel loss on one side - it's hardly noticeable because of the color palette. All links are attached and the bag is marked Whiting and Davis on both sides of the interior of the frame. This purse is 6 1/2 inches long from top of clasp to the bottom of the nicely scalloped mesh and it's 3 1/2 inches wide. The twisted link chain ad... Click for details

An utterly beautiful cream silk embroidered purse, or reticule, circa 1830. The shield shaped body is edged in pink and decorated with pink silk bows. The drawstrings are pink silk and green velvet, an echo of the pink embroidered flowers and green leaves. Beautiful, all original, and so delicate ? the silk is shattering in several areas and there?s one hole where the gauze lining shows through. But it?s such a great reminder of the beautiful needlework of the time. Measures 8 ?? by 9?.
