Lovely antique beaded purse, featuring acorns and oak leaves, circa 1830. The colors are wonderful: browns, blue, pink, white and yellow. The beading is in great condition, with just one hole near the top. The header, an early cotton replacement, is shattered and lacks a drawstring. There may have been a fringe at one time. Beaded body measures 5” (header adds another 3”) by 5 ¼”.

Super antique beaded purse, featuring a basket of fruit and flowers on one side, and a floral wreath on the other, circa 1830. The basket is beaded in yellow and gold; grapes and apples and other fruit spill out of it! Blue cotton lining; the header has gone and the blue silk ribbon drawstring is shattered. There are several holes and repairs, the largest about 5/8”, and it is lacking a fringe. But it’s an unusual, lovely piece of early beadwork! Measures 6 ½” by 6”.

Beautiful early Mandalian mesh purse in great condition that measures approximately 3.25 x 7.25 inches. With chain add 4 inches. 2 strands of the triple point mesh fringe are missing but hardly noticeable. The enamel is in excellent condition and all links are attached along the entire frame. Nice embossed design on both sides of frame. Colors are cream, coral and purple.

Wonderful steel beaded purse with geometric design in combination of gold, silver and brown. Excellent condition. No missing beads or separation from the frame. The frame is engraved with a floral motif and the original lining, in very good condition, is tagged with a "Made in France" label. The purse is 4.25" wide by 7.5" long (from the top of the frame to the bottom of the fringe; the chain adds another 5" for a total length of 12.5".

Very nice and weighty mesh bag. Excellent condition - everything is in tact in the hinges and along the frame. There are no broken links or holes. Pretty basketweave pattern on both side of the frame and snake chain adds close to another 6". Whiting and Davis mark inside frame.

Sexy and shimmery silver mesh purse in excellent condition. The frame has a very fine floral and leaf motif on one side; the other side has a discreet monogram - so this must have been a special purse to someone. It is 5.5 inches wide by 5" tall and the chain is 14 inches long. There are no broken links at all and no holes in the mesh.

Whiting & Davis Dresden mesh purse in muted pastel colors of purple, green and blue abstract flowers. These cover the mesh and give a very nouveau look. Measuring 5x6 inches , there are no holes and everything is attached. The very nice link chain adds about 5.5 inches. The ruffle fringe which is also intact makes this Dresden purse somewhat different. The lining is in very good condition - clean, no tears or holes but detached from the frame in a few places - does not detract or make the purse... Click for details

Hand made in France, this gorgeous black beaded purse is in excellent condition. No holes, stains or missing beads. Lining is completely in tact. The purse is 6.5" across the top and 9.5" across the bottom. With strap it's 9.5 inches from top to bottom. It's dressy but not so much that it wouldn't work with a pair of jeans. Really nice and versatile purse.
