Colorful! A fun set by Miriam Haskell. Designed in the 1970's to celebrate the Egyptian show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Gilt metal and glass beads. The necklace is signed on the scarab pendant, the clasp and on a metal tag. The clasp also has the patent number. The screwback/clip earrings have two Haskell signatures and the patent number. The necklace is 20" end to end. The scarab pendant is 2 1/2" long and 2" wide. The pharaoh earrings are 7/8" by 5/8".

This chrome and galalith Bengel necklace screams art deco. Galalith was a pre-cursor to bakelite and was widely used in Germany and France. Gaspipe chain was popular for these pieces and is a strong element in what is fundamentally a simple but powerful design. Similar sautoirs are illustrated in the Jakob Bengel book by Christiane Weber on pages 108 and 139. This hangs 14 inches and is in excellent condition and in a wonderful bright red. This art deco chrome and galalith necklace from Jakob Bengel has a bold design in wonderful colors. Bengel's factory in Oberstein, Germany produced an astonishing array of chrome and galalith jewelry in the 1930s. Galalith, a precursor of bakelite is another type of synthetic plastic that was widely used in Germany and France. The necklace is 18 1/4 inches long and in excellent condition.

Hattie Carnegie uses enamel,faux pearl and gold plate for this most unusual set, huge and dramatic to say the least. Very three dimensional.The brooch may also be worn as a pendant. Brooch is 3" long plus 1" pearl dangles, and is 2 1/4" wide. Earrings are 1" in diameter. The brooch and one ear are signed.

I can't remember the last time I was able to find a vintage pair of Chanel Earrings...Here is a fabulous clip pair- they are absolutely striking on- so clearly couture! Measuring 2 1/4" Long x 7/8" Wide and are so rich in detail. This signed MIMI DEE 213mm (just under 9 north to south!) brooch is made with circa 1920 Czech Art Deco black glass wired in place to an ornate brass background. Also 2 Victorian black glass buttons. This was commissioned by a special client, Linda, an artist herself.
