These hand done lamp-worked beads are probably Indian in origin, and they most likely are old, perhaps quite old. The workmanship is superb. The brass and glass compliment each other and they are enhanced by the jewel-like work on the round and elongated beads on the fringe. Very dramatic when worn. Stunning brooch a of bronze and inlaid enamel setting around a huge robins egg blue "stone" of glass. Tiny particles of porous stone were thrown into the molten glass which fused around them to form a speckled design, in fact looking much like a robins egg. This is a very dramatic and beautiful pin. This flower basket brooch by Vrba is spectacular, huge and very three dimensional. Verba, who formerly designed for Miriam Haskell, has outdone himself on this one! Composed of glass beads and shimmering amathyst rhinestones placed in a dark metal setting, this brooch is a show stopper when worn. And, it is a treasure for the collector. Deep, deep saphire blue emerald-cut glass stone in a handsome setting. Goldtone with a three strand goldtone chains necklace. Any jewelry by Adele Simpson is rare, and sometimes made for Simpson by Schreiner as this piece may have been. Pendant is 1 1/4" by 1" and is 3/4" deep. Full length of chains and clasp is 14 1/2".

This floral brooch and clip earrings set was designed by Lawrence Vrba for Miriam Haskell, and it bears the oval Haskell plaque on the ornate back of the brooch. Both brooch and earrings are composed of four layers, with the green petals providing a swirled, bubbled and crackled texture which adds to the richness of this elegant set. Brooch is 3 1/2" in diameter and 3/4" deep. Earrings are 2" by 1 1/2" and are 3/4" at deepest.
