This rare set of hand carved vintage Bakelite Jewelry comes from a prestigious Hawaiian Estate and it has important provenance. The Lei style necklace was strung in double rows on nylon thread and it features 57 raspberry bakelite beads. The length is adjustable by velvet ribbons, which are original to the design. There are 26 beads on the bracelet and they are strung on elastic thread. The colors have beautifully matured and the berries display a ripe raspberry red shade and the leaves display ... This jointed bakelite soldier dates to circa 1940's and is in good condition. Caramel and butterscotch colored with brass studs and painted details. This piece measures 3.5 inches long and 3.5 inches across with arms extended. One of the wires that attaches his legs to the body looks as if it has been replaced. Pinback is original. This is a wonderful addition to any bakelite collection.

High deco styling marks this chrome and bakelite necklace from the 20's or 30's. Probably of French or German origin. Measures approx. 15 1/4" when open and stretched from end to end. The center medallion is 1 3/8" in diameter. Excellent condition, except for some green paint that is missing on the links closest to the central medallion, as shown in photos.

Nothing could be plainer than this 3" Black Bakelite, tested, Cross Pendant. 2 1/8" wide. Brass jump ring/bail shows slight signs of discoloration, another bakelite sign, from age and from coming in contact with this type of thermoset. See the one scan and please write or call!

Sold, no price, no info. Looks like it was built in a Car Factory, this Very Very Art Deco Motif Necklace with Old Clasp, Hard Plastic resembling Bakelite in feel and weight and 'Chrome Bumpers' as Bead Caps on the 3 Tomato color ones. The Center piece, at 1 X 1 3/8", is metal painted black and looks the same on both sides. From end to end it is 27" long, the tear drop shapes are 1 1/8" long and the red ones are 12mm. Pretty good for age with minor lines in as found condition.... Click for details
