Acquired along with other c 1900 Folk like Tribal Necklaces this Round Cut Disc & strip Horn Bone knotted with original 'organic smelling' when burned, intact twine, sinew or other old materials w possibly natural faded dyes. Incredibly detailed heavy Pin Brooch depicting a Peruvian Native South American Indian in folk costume wearing a large flat hat and playing a flute while sitting on steps. In the background a Large Urn and around the frame holding this 'picture', are four serpents. Undoubtedly a lost wax method of creating this piece that weighs 1.1 Ounce of 900 silver, reminding one of the detail often found in Victorian Picture Buttons.
