This antique locket is French, circa 1820. It has a classical shield shape and is decorated with Verre eglomise. The words Verre eglomise, translated from the French, means gilded glass. This process of gilding the underside of glass with gold or metal leaf utilizing a gelatin adhesive, regained popularity in the 18th century. It had been used as a technique for centuries, but an 18th century designer and art dealer named Jean-Baptise Glomy was responsible for its revival and popularity in Franc... Click for details

Here is a most unusual design that I have never seen before... The Victorians loved Equestrian details in their jewelry design. One can find in all levels of antique and vintage jewelry motifs Buckles with Straps, Riding Crops, Stirrups, and Lucky Horse Shoes. These motifs were most popular through to the 1940's but continue to remain popular today. Here is a unique example from the 1930's- 40's. A Rose Gold Horse Shoe Ring is set with a smooth blue saphire that is faceted from below- likely syn... Click for details

This is a beautifully crafted sterling bracelet. The design motif is a series of seven links made of roses. Very Art Deco. The bracelet measures just under 7 1/2” long, while the roses are 3/4” across. Each rose link of the bracelet is marked “Sterling FCo” and I estimate the piece to be from the 1930s or 1940s. Excellent condition.

Here is a rare find... A Turn of the Century Egyptian Revival Watch pin done in 14K YG with a carved Turquoise Scarab Beetle in the pin's center. A popular motif from 1890-1920, these examples are very hard to find. The wings are created with alternating surfaces from textured to smooth. This would be more evident with a cleaning which I will leave to the discretion of the next owner. This gem measures 1 1/8" W x 3/8" H. On the back is a curved hook which was to hold a small locket or watch. Mar... Click for details

These magnificent earrings are monumental in size and beauty. The pieces are probably from the early 20th century. The earrings are made with large natural pearls and two rows of seed pearls. The measure 7.5 cm (3") in length and 2 cm (4/5")width. Their weight is 8 g (0.28 oz). These pieces are extremely rare and difficult to find. Made for locals and not for tourist-resale, these earrings are generally passed as family heirlooms and are rarely sold to collectors. COLLECTOR QUALITY.
