Victorian watchcock necklaces and bracelets were a short lived trend in the mid 1880s This jewelry was made of the escapement covers from late 18th century watches. Highly engraved and cutout in animal, flower, and circular swirl motifs and sometimes set with small stones, they made for very decorative jewelry. Georgian 18K gold married with wonderful cameos exhibiting the the doves and hands of peace, love and friendship. Doesn't get better than these. Circa 1760 and measures a shade over 3". These won't last long.

Here we have a fabulous, drapey necklace with goldstone medallions, connected by two strands of gold filled chain. The medallions are in a gold filled setting with a rope twist edge. Each of the medallions are just under and just over an inch. The clasp is covered with another goldstone medallion. The necklace is about 20-21". It lays beautifully and drapes luxuriously.

Exquisitely designed Gravy Boat in sterling and ebony by silver master, William Spratling. Measures 8" wide and 3" tall. Handles were thinly cracked and well repaired just below the silver dots. The design combined with the grain of the wood made this almost inevitable. Still both perfectly serviceable and beautiful. Made late 1950's.

This gold,Georgian,Maltese Cross is circa 1820. It has beautiful, clear chalcedony sections accented with fine gold cannetille work. This type of work created by a skilled hand uses spirals of gold twisted and connected to create the leaves. The work is so fine, it takes a jewelers loop to understand how difficult this must be to achieve. The central section has a small faceted ruby,foiled back and set in a hand crimped collet.
