Margot de Taxco silver and enamel pendant of Gemini. Her astrology series is rarely seen combined with enamel; more often it is all silver. Disc measures 1 5/8" in diameter. Sterling silver bracelet is signed by FarFan, a Mexico City contemporary of Margot. Bracelet measures 7 1/4" long; 3/4" wide and is extremely heavy and well made. Both in excellent condition. Circa 1950.

Los Castillo Silver with Amethyst Brooch

Voluptuous is the best word to describe this sterling with amethyst brooch made by Los Castillo in the 1940's. Wonderful weight and dimensionality. 2 3/8" wide and 2 5/8" from bottom to tip of stone. Excellent condition. An especially fine example of the work of this well known Mexican silver designer.

Gorgeous newer piece by Maestro Sigi Pineda . This is a very well made and fully detailed figural pendant depicting a frog (or toad). We call it the "SigiSapo". Very lovely and interesting. Pieces such as this one were made in the 1990s. Sigi has not produced these pieces anymore and they are becoming as hard to find as all his other more vintage pieces. Streamlined and bold sterling silver with amethyst bracelet by the earliest of collectible Mexican designers, Frederick Davis. Each rectangular medallion measures 1 3/8" x 1 5/8" and is curved to fit the wrist. Each amethyst is 3/4" x 5/8". Total length of bracelet is a shade under 7", not including the clasp insert. Excellent, original condition. Circa 1940.

Margot de Taxco is known, among other things, for her curvilinear designs. Usually, they are abstract. In this instance, she successfully incorporated a keyhole as an integral part of the design.
