An unbelievably gorgeous sterling necklace by noted Taxco silversmith Los Castillo. The ball on each link provides the hinge connecting one link to the other and they all move giving this necklace a fluid snakelike quality. It is wonderfully solid weighing an amazing 170 grams. It measures 16" long and 1 1/8" wide. The clasp is an invisible hook on the back of the link. It is in fine original condition and signed and numbered for Los Castillo as shown. This is a great set. It is by the Danish silversmith N.E. From and is his most sought after design. It features a "globe" of amber with a circle of silver fish and stars. The amber is off-center and reflects the light passing through. The pin measures 1 3/4 inches. The earrings measure 1 inch and are clip backs. They are very comfortable on the ear. It is difficult to find a set and this one is in great condition. The pin and earrings are both signed.

This is one of the rarest Scottish agate brooches I have offered for sale. It is circa 1860, and has an incredible design featuring beautiful colored agates with a central bouquet of flowers. The flowers are thistles that are briolette cut. The thistles are two amethysts and a central citrine. The brooch is large, measuring 2 3/4 inches across x 2 inches down. It is completely original, in near mint condition with original c-clasp. It comes from a private collection and is a rare offering.

Best known for his 1950's Modernist designs, this sterling and cabachon amethyst necklace by Taxco artist Sigi Pineda is a wonderful example of his work. A compelling, bold design in sterling, the focal point is an off center round amethyst that looks suspended in space. This necklace is hinged on both sides and closes with a secure push in clasp. The front section measures 1 1/2" wide at the widest point in the front. It is 14" around in the inside. Solid weight at 86 grams. Signed and numbered... Click for details

This is a lovely little miniature portrait of a beautiful young woman. Her eyes are down cast and she has a beatific look about her, so it may be a religious piece. In fact, I rather suspect it is a Vatican piece, from the first half of the 20th century...1920's to 40's I would guess. It is hand painted, in a frame of silver (probably sterling) filigree, and the painting is protected by bevelled glass. The bale moves up to receive a necklace, folds down when it is to be worn as a pin. I see n... Click for details
