This is an unusual brooch depicting the French clown Pierrot. The repousse work lends a highly sculptural and very detailed rendering. Not marked but tests for sterling, it also has an old C catch clasp. Great looking piece in excellent condition. It's size also recommends it at 2 1/4 inches in diameter by 3/4 of an inch deep. Could use a cleaning if you like; I haven't touched it.
