The Heintz Art Metal Shop of Buffalo, New York made jewelry and decorative objects of patinated bronze with sterling overlay in cut out patterns. They were in business from 1906-1929 and although they did not sign their jewelry, their style is so distinctive it can easily be identified. This 2 1/4" by 1 1/4" pin is a fine example of the jewelry from this shop. It is in beautiful original condition and a wonderful piece of Arts & Crafts period jewelry.

This scarab brooch has a wonderful look. It has three large stones on the top of different colors (the two on the ends may be carnelian and amethyst), and three smaller ones on the bottom. Two of these look like faience, and one looks like turquoise. The two faience beads have holes in the end, which are faintly visible at the edge of the setting. The setting is sterling and it is stamped sterling on the back. The brooch is 2" across and a little over an inch in depth. Edwardian period in ... Click for details

I love interesting old jewelry, and this is one of my favorites. This is cast silver, probably not sterling (unmarked) and is of a bearded Billy Goat in a cartouch with holly and berries. "3c" is worked into the design below the goat and I really have no idea what this pin is all about but I guarantee that it is a conversation starter. It is in excellent condition, 2 1/2" by 2".
