This bracelet is one of the classic examples of the work done by William Spratling during his first design period (1931-1946). The inspiration for this design is the Aztec Calendar with a big amethyst cabochon in the center, ten smaller ones surrounding the sun rays and two more beyond the sunburst. This piece weight is 137 grams (4.83 oz), measures 14.2 cm (5 5/8") of internal length and 6 cm (2 3/8") wide in the front. Excellent Condition. COLLECTOR QUALITY.

Beautiful repousse silver and amethyst brooch by Hector Aguilar. Finely smithed piece. Exemplar of this very difficult to find design included in museum show "Spratling and the Mexican Silver Renaissance." Large, dramatic dimensions. Measures 4" by 3 1/2". Hallmarked correctly for Hector Aguilar. Most certainly a Valentin Vidaurreta design. In fine vintage condition. Lovely.

Unusual ring by Hector Aguilar with a very peculiar carved onyx mask. The carved mask is not like those by Fred Davis or Abraham Paz. Well marked with Aguilar conjoined "HA", "940" and "TAXCO". The ring is a size 7 and the front measures 2 by 2.5 cm (3/4" by 1") and weighs 12 grams (0.42 oz). COLLECTOR QUALITY.

An exceptional vintage silver bracelet by Antonio Pineda. This design is one in a series of pieces inspired by the Caves of Altamira. A successful and marvelous blending of the early European 'murals' as found at Altamira, France and the early 'murals' of pre-Columbian Mexico. Masterful silversmith work.
