Vintage Mexican silver and onyx (or possibly obsidian) bracelet with strong, dramatic, modern design. This ca. 1940's-50's bracelet reminds one of the geometric and modern inspired work of Fred Davis, Antonio Pineda and Enrique Ledesma. Onyx (or possibly obsidian) is unified into a silver to create two lines of seamless lines of black stone accent at the top and bottom. One of the most famous of Maestra Margot Van Voorhies' pieces. Sleek and elegant concave link bracelet by Antonio Pineda. The links are hinged so there is movement and fluidity to the bracelet. An exceptional 970 silver and onyx bracelet by Antonio Pineda,c.1955. This bracelet is featured on page 148 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk only with amethysts rather than onyx. It measures 7 3/4" around in the inside and is 1 3/4" wide. Fine original condition, no chips or cracks to the stones. It weighs 120 grams and is signed as shown. A great Antonio modernist bracelet.

A fun and sensual sterling necklace and bracelet by Margot De Taxco. It is sturdy and delicate at the same time. The silver dangles make a charming sound and dazzle the eye with movement. Yes, I love this set!
The necklace is 16" end to end with the center section being 2 1/4" wide. The dangles hang 3/4" long. The bracelet is 6 3/4" end to end. Fine original condition. Signed as shown and numbered 5672. Perfectly delightful to wear.

This is the silver "pillow" bracelet by William Spratling. It is from his first design period, 1931-1946. Measuring 8" around in the inside and 1 1/8" wide, it has a pin closure and is in fine original condition. It weighs 86 grams and is featured on page 43 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk. This is one of Spratlings' most recognizable bracelets and one of the most beautiful.
