Field of wild Bluebonnets at sunset (possibly Texas), on artist board, in wood, copper colored frame. There is one small 3/4" long x 1/4" wide semi-circular area where it appears a repair has been made (see photo); it is completely stable, and difficult to see unless closely examining; a few minor nicks to the frame; otherwise, the painting and frame are in excellent condition. 9.5" x 7.5" image, in a lovely frame typical of the period, measuring 13" x 11" x 1.50". Early 20th Century Seascape with Tree, oil painting on canvas, signed lower left by monogram, "MB." Carved and gilded wooden frame with inside beading. 12" x 16" (30.48 x 40.64 cm), framed to 16" x 20" (40.64 x 50.80 cm). Frame is in great condition with some age cracks. Painting has a loss to the left of the tree trunk, and a few other, very small, scatter minor losses. The canvas has apparently been cut from its stretcher and has been mounted on cardboard. c. 1900-1925. $40 US Shipping.
