Offered here is a very pleasing impressionist style oil on board in a contemporary silver gilt frame. The painting depicts a balcony view (I assume) through the trees of some buildings below and in the near distance. Very nice colors and a soft, airy technique give this painting a restful quality. The painting is signed but I am unable to make out the signature. I can only guess at the date beyond the fact that it is 2nd half of the 20th century. The painting measures 24" by 21" approximate... Interestingly, tiny holes may be seen in the corners of the painting where the artist pinned the board to his easel (presumably) while working.
