Here we have a fine and interesting painting of wild horses and an Argentine cowboy. There is lots of action in this painting the way only a skilled watercolorist can portray it. Done entirely in earth tones as if to further emphasize the atmosphere of the action on the plain. The painting is signed, and dated 1942. Exceptional Filly of good breeding in this 1944 original Watercolor, signed lower right, "Wm. Knudsen, '44." Knudsen's background is uncertain, although we have another Knudsen painting on the same type of paper, and around the same time period. We believe these were by the same artist, or artists within the same family. Image is 12" x 15", linen-matted and framed to 20" x 23". Excellent condition. c. 1944. $40 US Shipping.
