Alexander Vetrov was born in 1952. In 1972 he graduated from Moscow Art School and in 1982 from Moscow Institute for Printing Industry. He has been participating in Art Exhibitions in Russia and abroad since 1979.
In 1991 he had personal exhibition at Washington DC National Gallery.

I believe this is a German botanical, at least as early as around 1750. There is a date noted at the top of anno. 1614, but I do not know if this is a reference back to an earlier work, or if it refers to the date of this publication. The flower appears to be what we call a Passion flower, in one of it's varieties. The text is written in latin. There is, hand written in ink at the bottom, the words "fallion bluma", or similar...it's hard to read the script. Hand colored, of course. Numbere... Click for details
