This is one of a pair of early 18th century botanicals, on wove paper, one of which bears a watermark. It has recently been framed and matted. The colors and printing are clear and strong, and the margins are good. In overall excellent condition. Inscription reads: Cucubalus Plinii. Lugd. 1429. I.R.H. 339. Ital. Cucubalo Gall. LeBehen. Framed, it is 21.5" by 16". The image size is 15" by 9.5".

These are a delightful pair of prints humorously depicting coutroom scenes. The first, titled "Le Tendre", shows a lawyer pleading a young woman's case before the court.
