This is one of a pair of early 18th century botanicals, on wove paper, one of which bears a watermark. It has recently been framed and matted. The colors and printing are clear and strong, and the margins are good. In overall excellent condition. Inscription reads: Cucubalus Plinii. Lugd. 1429. I.R.H. 339. Ital. Cucubalo Gall. LeBehen. Framed, it is 21.5" by 16". The image size is 15" by 9.5".

Wonderful original Nathaniel Currier hand painted mourning print lithograph, dated 1848. The print features a grieving woman leaning on a tomb; there are other graves, most tilting, and a church in the background. The tomb reads: To The/Memory Of/A mother and Sister/Susanna Bartlett/Died Dec 31st 1848/Aged 65/Charlotte Bartlett/Died Oct 5th 1848/Aged 30.” “To The Memory Of” is part of the print; the rest is hand lettered. HOBBY. W. Lavin, November 7th, 1793. Plate number 21. Hand colored engraving of a falcon or hawk. Framed the dimensions are 12" by 14". The sight dimensions are 6" by 7 1/4". There is foxing present on the plate and the matting. Professionally framed about 50 years ago. I have not removed the engraving from the frame.
