Large Bronze Sculpture, dating from the Meiji Period (1868-1912) showing a Japanese Student reading from his open book, while walking along carrying a load of wood, depicting the Japanese folk hero Ninomiya Kinjiro. He was a self-taught scholar in the Meiji Era. You can find out a lot more details about him on the web: search words- Ninomiya Kinjiro.
Measures 12 inches x 5 inches x 5 inches approx. Condition; Good, no dings,dents or restoration, Rich chocolate patina.

Handsome Vienna Bronze Arab on oriental carpet, stroking his Pussy Cat, his robe opens up to reveal an erotic maiden.
This is a modern rendition, I am told, made by a current Vienna Bronze company circa 1980s in mint condition
Stands 4 3/4 inches tall x 2 1/2 inches x 3 inches approx.
Doors in perfect working order, clips securely closed.

This is a very beautiful piece by the German sculptor Paul Aichele (1859-1910). It is a panther or lion in a warning stance with his teeth bared. Beautiful musculature, excellent casting. Mounted on a bronze base depicting a rocky terrain. Signature, no date, inscribed in the base (see additional pictures). A small repair to the tail, otherwise in very good condition, but showing age. Base is 7" by 4", Lion stands 4 1/2" high including the base. Weighs about 5 pounds.
