Large and Interesting Anglo-Indian Box

This is a wonderful box that is hand carved of, I believe, teak. It appears to be a letter box, or to contain documents, since it has a rack in the lid that would hold paperwork. There is a center tray that lifts out, and a side compartment that opens, as well as wells for ink and pencils. The lip is trimmed in brass, top and bottom, that is nailed down, and the hinges and lock are brass. There is oxidation on the metal but it is not rusty.
