A very fine chinese porcelain bowl, thinly potted and beautifully painted in bright famille rose enamels with figures at a table in a room setting.

Dating from the early Qianlong period (1736-96), it measures 5 1/2inches (14 cms) across.

There is some wear to the gilding, a faint double hairline and a small chip to the rim.

Probably made in the 2nd half of the C19th., it stands 5 5/8inches (14.2 cms) high.

There is wear to the enamels and minor chips.
