SOLD

This light is 24 inches tall and in the shape of a pagoda. It is porcelain and we believe it dates to the early 20th century. It is operational, though the wiring is old and probably from the 1930’s. The lantern is porcelain and it is hand painted with dragons on it. The lamp has lots of detail and is pierced in places to allow the light to be seen better when it is lit. The top lifts off and a small light bulb goes in there. We believe this is Chinese though it may be Japanese. There are tw... Click for details

Unusual Qing Dynasty tea cup tray with Ge type glaze. I have seen a number of pieces with this type of clay and glaze over the years and have always speculated as to their origin as they are neither a Jingdezhen product nor a porcelain. I now think this might be a Shekwan piece as it was famous for being able to reproduce some of the classic Song Dynasty wares like Jun and Ge, but this is a just best guess on my part. This piece is in excellent original condition apart from a few ori... Click for details
