Dainty carved animal fetishes are gracefully strung on a five strand graduated necklace with tiny fine heishe. Hand crafted by Santo Domingo Indian artist Manuelita Flowers back in the 1970s, there are 118 fetishes of bears, birds and wolves carved from turquoise, coral, jet, serpentine, mother of pearl, amber, pipe stone and shell. The hand rolled heishe is very fine.

Victorian era cup and saucer woven by the Akimel O'odham, Pima Indians, of central Arizona. Creating souvenirs for the tourists kept basket making alive!

Willow and devils claw are finely coiled over a grass bundle foundation, seven coils and sixteen wefts per inch for both pieces.

This is a black on white Cibola White Ware Red Mesa piece that is totally intact, in as found condition, with no restoration at all, with just some minor rim chipping. As you can see, the design is just outstanding, with great color and a beautiful shape.

Top quality natural turquoise from the Bisbee Mine of Arizona is set in sterling silver as a brooch.

Wonderful small Chemehuevi Indian basketry olla, at 3 3/4" tall by 4 1/2" wide this is a fine example of coiled willow weaving. Fine even weave has 17 stitches and 7 coils per inch. Four arms of a whirlwind are worked with devils claw as is the self finished rim.

Came from the Birdie Brown Collection , auction in Phoenix April 30, 1970.
