This wonderful black puppy from Jalisco, ca. 300 BC - 300 AD, is 7-1/4" long, with a nicely burnished slip. He is portrayed stretched out on his belly, with its tail pointing up and a wonderful facial expression. Cute and adorable, in exceptional condition.

A fine single chamber ceramic flute from Colima, West Mexico, ca. 300 BC - 300 AD. This slightly curved instrument is 9" long, is made from nicely burnished black terra cotta and has a serpent adorno. Intact, with nice sound.

SOLD 
An outstanding 7-1/4" high Vera Cruz head, ca. 300 - 900 AD, probably depicting an important sacrificial victim. The hollow head was once part of a larger sculpture and is adorned with an elaborate headdress, with the eyeballs shown hanging from their sockets. Facial details are highlighted with the characteristic black chapopote.

A fine Moche II "Little Man" vessel from Peru, ca. 100 - 200 AD. This 8-1/2" high spouted stirrup bottle is nicely executed in red and cream, showing good deposits. This is an unusual type, stylistically related to the Portrait Head vessels. It is in excellent condition.

A superb Chontal maskette, 3-1/2" wide, 2-5/8" high. It is carved from a mottled greenstone, is nicely polished and has biconical perforations in the ears. In excellent condition, showing good deposits. Comes with display case.

The Chontal are a Mayan cultural group from the Tabasco region of southern Mexico, ca. 250 - 700 AD.

An awesome 9" tall Archaic shaman from Colima, West Mexico, ca. 300 BC - 300 AD. He has the rare double-winged head ornament with multiple horns, which identifies his origin as coming from close to the Pihuamo region, but not into it. Lots of rare decorative black line pigment remnants indicating clothing and eyes remain in fine condition over the highly burnished red slip. A superb example.
