A gold earring of exceptional size and quality, mounted with the head of a bull.
The curved shank of the earring is decorated with an applied double strand of twisted wire which is channelled into the body. This in turn ends in a series of volutes with applied wire decoration which leads to a smaller set of volutes set to either side of a sphere. A fluted bronze handle from a jug or wine ewer with mask terminals to either end.
The upper mask (which would have faced towards the liquid in the vessel) in in the form of a panther or leopard head, below which a palmette extends like a tongue. The lower mask which would have attached the handle to the base of the vessel is in the form of a facing human portrait, possibly a mask of Medusa.

The snake heads are both pierced with a stud so as to hold an attachment in their "mouths".
