English novelty, figural horseshoe shaped inkstand by James Dixon and Son of Sheffield, fashioned in silverplate (EPNS) with a removable glass inkwell. 19th century. A large English majolica pitcher decorated with two pink wild roses on green leaf stems placed on a brown tree bark background, with twig handle. Circa 1880. Unmarked but possibly by Holdcroft.
