A terrific hand made sterling bracelet of squares by contemporary German born silversmith Agnes Seebass. She apprenticed in the Los Castillo workshop in Taxco and her work was represented in the William Spratling MAESTRO DE PLATA exhibit. Her pieces were featured on page 67 of the catalogue to the exhibit and Marbeth Schon wrote an article about her in the most recent edition of MODERN SILVER magazine in which she pictured this bracelet. It measures 7 1/4" end to end and is 1 1/4" wide...

A superb three dimensional sterling and amethyst hinged cuff by Taxco silversmith Margot De Taxco. A bracelet in constant motion with curling and swirling forms edged in silver beading and 8 teardrop shaped cabachon amethysts budding forth from silver stems. It is exquisite in every way and a Margot piece that I have never seen before. It is 3 3/4" long in the front and 7" around in the inside. Beautiful original condition, warm patina, weighs 105 grams...

Proud and Daring Little Rooster, this Mod Stylized Silver Pin marked in back with perhaps an unfinished superimposed "P C" for Pedro Castillo or "C F" and Assay mark. Stands at 2.5" X 2" wide, 6 grams weight. Very Good condition with the stamps' outlines shown in front and has been polished some in the past, yet still age darkened areas in back. This a beautiful armadillo necklace designed by Valentin Vidaurreta and produced by Manuel Altamirano. It was also produced by Hector Aguilar. The necklace is 16 1/2" end to end and 1 1/2" wide at the center rounded square. Circa 1945-50, it is in fine original condition. The black velvet appears to be original to the piece. Signed as shown. Altimirano also worked for Hector Aguilar at the Taller Borda. His pieces with his own hallmark are scarce and this necklace is exquisite.

Absolutely stunning sterling bracelet by William Spratling. Very mid-century modern design with a bamboo type link and applied sterling spheres and balls. It measures 7" around in the inside and is 1" wide. It weighs 97 grams and is in fine original condition. The safety chain is attached on each end but broken in the center of the chain...

A stunning 970 silver and moonstone bracelet by Antonio Pineda. The stones are clear and blue, all original and no chips or cracks. Measuring 7" around in the inside, it is 5/8" wide. The closure is one of the moonstones that you press so the bracelet looks continuous when on the wrist. It weighs 60 grams, is all original and in beautiful condition.Signed as shown. Exceptional!

This is a magnificent dove and rose repousse necklace, bracelet and earring set designed by Matilde Poulat and executed by her nephew Richard Salas, both of whom are now deceased. The pieces have a rich and lovely patina. The necklace measures 20" end to end and is 3" wide at the front dangles. The bracelet is 7 1/2" around in the inside and 1 1/4" wide. The earrings are post back for pierced ears and measure 1 1/2" wide and 1 1/4" long...

Wonderful horseshoe shaped link bracelet by Taxco silversmith Antonio Pineda. The links are hinged together and all move. C. 1950, this bracelet measures 7" around in the inside and is 3/4" wide. Beautiful pre-eagle sterling cuff bracelet by Los Castillo. Classic curving lines and applied ball design. Measures 5 1/2" around in the inside with a 1 3/8" opening, it is 1 1/4" wide and weighs 74 grams. Great original condition and signed and numbered for Los Castillo. This could easily become your favorite bracelet.

Extremely rare articulated Aztec arrow pendant earrings designed and signed circa 1949-50 by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling(1900-67). Each measures 2 1/2" long. Pair weighs 06oz. or 16grams. Beautiful vintage condition. Pictured on Phyllis Goddards' excellent website spratlingsilver.com. Spratling designs are the central focus of the 20th Century Mexican silver collection displayed in the Latin American wing at LACMA, Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

An outstanding sterling and azur-malachite bracelet by Taxco silversmith Enrique Ledesma. This work is what he is best known for- fusing silver with stone in an impeccable manner. Each panel is triple hinged and tri-faceted. Cutting stone in this manner requires spectacular skill. This bracelet measures 6 3/4" around in the inside and is 1" wide. It weighs 109 grams and is in excellent original condition with no chips or cracks to the stones...

A very interesting and beautifully made sterling parrot necklace by Tane, the silver manufacturing company in Mexico City whose emphasis is on quality. The founders arrived in Mexico City in 1942 and the Tane Company greatly expanded in the 1960's and 1970's with the assistance of Tiffany & Co. The necklace is hinged in the back and the opening is incorporated into the head of the parrot. It is approximately 14 1/2" around in the inside and is 1" wide at the parrots' chest...

This sterling pin is a delight to wear for the Holidays! The bell makes a happy tinkling sound as the wearer moves. The pin is large, and heavy for it's size, at 2 1/2 inches (6.4 cm) wide and 2 1/2 inches (6.4 cm) long. The bell itself is 1 1/4 inches (3.2 cm) long and 7/8 inches (2.2 cm) in diameter, with wonderful detail. Dark patination accents the veining on the leaves. Pin clasp is secure...

A superb, handmade, sterling bracelet featuring 4 rows of circular links with hanging tubes that all move by Mexican silversmith Teresa Camino. Her work was represented in the William Spratling Maestro De Plata exhibit and can be found on page 65 of the exhibit catalogue. She was the winner of numerous awards in Mexico and the U.S. before her death in 2003. Her work is still being produced by Albino Guitierrez, her long time silversmith and collaborator...

An exuberant sterling pin with a naturalistic design by Felipe Martinez who opened his workshop "Piedra Y Plata" in 1955. The highly polished, smooth amethyst flowers seem to be bursting out of the leaves which are going in all directions.This pin, c.1955, is featured on page 186 of the Morrill book MEXICAN SILVER, however, the pin in the book has green stones rather than amethyst...

This is the ARMADILLO CUFF, designed by Valentin Vidaurreta and made by Manuel Altamirano. It dates c. 1945-50 and is featured in the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk. The rounded shaped panels graduate in size measuring from 1 3/4" wide in the front to 1" at the back. It measures 5 3/4" around in the inside and has a 1 1/4" opening so it is for a 6 3/4" wrist. It is signed for Manual Altamirano as shown in the photo. Fine original condition but extremely tarnished and I am going to leave...
