Early sterling silver and black suede bracelet designed and signed(1940's) by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar(1905-86). The bracelet length will fit up to a 6 1/2" wrist and is 1 3/4 inches wide. The 3 silver X's have incised lines and are in perfect condition with no dents, dings or repairs. The suede is in excellent condition with some minor surface rubbing as the 3 X's slide on the suede. The suede ends are beautifully sewn into place around the silver clasps. Marks read HA TAXCO 940...

Iconic and early since it bears no Eagle mark, a gorgeous Matl ring having a box-type face set with amethyst and turquoise cabs. I love the wirework that always embellishes the silver in this type of rings - as time passes, the nooks and crannies acquire a patina that makes them even more impressive to look at. The ring is a size 7 with its face measuring 7/8" by 3/4". It rises 5/15" off the finger when worn and weighs 7.6 grams...

Thomas Corwin Lindsay, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, was a well-known painter of landscapes, animal subjects and occasional portraits. He studied in Dusseldorf, Germany, in the 1860s, but lived and worked most of his life in his native city where he opened a studio in 1856 or 1857...

A donkey doll motif. Pre assay 1930's or 40's hand chased repousse donkey burro tested silver pin with MEXICO mark and the cutest round face big headed punk haired donkey doll! So it has an overbite and no chin, it is so kee-oot!. Must have.
The native peoples are known to make dolls in the shape of their local animals for their children to play.

Perfect for smaller to medium wrists an old Chinese silver filigree bracelet with vermeil wash, set with a 19th c. carved jade button (?). The bracelet is adorned with wirework and floral and foliate enamels in blues, green, purple. It has an inner circumference of 6 3/4" and its width varies between 1 3/8" in the center front and 7/16" at its narrowest, near the clasp. The jade button is 7/8" tall by 1 1/8" wide...

What can I possibly say about this necklace that would even aspire to portray its massiveness, its weight, its amazing presence and the effect it has on others when you have it on! Bearing the signature of Fan Fan, a taller based in Mexico City, it is an astounding piece of jewelry and so characteristic of Far Fan's best work...

Tulip Buds 468 was designed by Margot Van Voorhies while married to Antonio Castillo at their Taller Los Castillo. The flow of the leaf around the bud, the heft of the silver giving depth and dimension to each link is exactly why this design 468 is so desired. Built on an angle to see each link at it's best and made strong with rivets hold the repousse together for a test of time. No damage or repairs to either the bracelet or the necklace...

Very nice size, measuring 2 5/8 wide and 2 1/8" high, good weight. Stamped 980 on back, with Made in Mexico, no maker's mark. Likely Taxco work, and the 980 silver standard was used in earlier works, prior to 1950. The face mask depicts a warrior with headdress, ear spools, and facial adornment, a pre-columbian image often found in Mexican art and jewelry. Has visible tarnish, especially in recessed areas, and shows wear and abrasions to silver surface...

You are viewing a William Spratling 1st phase signed bracelet he named the crowned pyramid. This is a super thick and heavy constructed treasure. The height of the design is 15/16th or shall we say one inch? The weight is 66 grams. The length is 7 inches. No damage or repairs. There are specs of patina and shadows in the pictures. Lays great on the wrist and carries a presence to remember.

Impressive, having the distinct "ethnic" character that characterizes this genre of vintage Mexican jewelry, a set of articulated earrings by Rivera in emulation of Matilde Poulat's jeweled creations. Beading, wire work, amethysts and turquoise set in channels and bezels combine to make this truly regal set. Dating in the pre-1948 period (I believe Rivera's early pieces to be among the best alternatives to Matl's own work) the set is signed with maker's name as well as "HECHO EN MEXICO 925"...

These beautifully designed, Mexican earrings are signed CEL and date to pre 1948. With a height of 2in. tall they display a commanding presence. The weight is 18 grams. Collector quality.

"Deserted Station" watercolor painting by Frederick Clay Bartlett, Jr. (American, 1907-1955). Signed lower right and dated Sept. 1942. Clay Bartlett was a Vermont artist with a residence in Manchester, VT. He was a member of the Southern Vermont Artists from 1934-1951. This painting depicts an abandoned railway station with its shutters closed and with a stationary train on the adjacent tracks. Size: 13" x 19" (sight). Excellent condition.

A fine vintage Japanese netsuke of a noh mask devil artist signed a very fine carving. In excellent condition measuring approx. 2.5 inches or 6.5 centimeters long. A fine addition to any collection.

Emile Albert Gruppe (American, 1896-1978), oil on canvas board, signed lower right. Titled and dated in Gruppe's hand on the verso,"Mount Mansfield, Vermont, 1947." A vibrant spring scene with traces of lingering winter snow. Excellent condition. Size: 12 inches x 16 inches.

Jacob I. Greenleaf (American, 1887-1968) - Vermont Village in Autumn, oil on canvas, c.1940s. Canvas size: 22 inches x 28 inches. Very good condition with some minor discoloration to the older varnish in the sky. Signed in the lower right and retaining the artist's original fragmented, partial label on the reverse. A native of Estonia, Jacob Greenleaf emigrated to the United States, where he settled in Rockport, Massachusetts...
