Late Meiji to early Showa (1895-1930) period Satsuma covered bowl. Measures 8 3/4" diameter and is 5 1/4" high with the cover on. Decorated in a moriage pattern with young boys (Karako) playing at various pastimes, highly detailed painting interspersed with raised white moriage dots. The interior of the bottom and the lid are both decorated with an elaborate scene of birds flying amongst a profusion of flowers. Excellent condition with no cracks or chips or restorations.

Using a Circa 1890 Art Nouveau Filigree Found Half Buckle, Mimi has made this necklace by adding unfinished brass, Aqua and Iridescent Blue Black Czech Cut Glass Beads to create a very unique set. Need it be said that there is Not another like this!?

Elegant and sophisticated and very well made. This set of simulated pearls and rhinestones looks just like real pearls and tiny pave diamonds. Its not signed, but it deserves to be! The necklace is 13 1/2" around the inside and is 3/4" wide. The bracelet is 7" around the inside and is also 3/4" wide.

Contemporary American designer Karen Bachman has created these elegant lucite bracelets. The oval one (1i)has an inner lining of gold and silver leaf and it is 10" around the outside and 5 1/2" around the inside. The opening is 1 1/4". It is 1 3/4" high and its wall is 3/4". This is a gorgeous custom made, handmade moonstone and genuine ruby pin set in sterling. It is c.1940 and measures 3 1/4" long including the dangling moonstone,and 2 1/2" diameter. All of the stones are individually prong set. The moonstones are clear, blue and beautiful. All stones are in fine condition and original. This is a fabulous coat or blazer pin and the moonstone lover should be absolutely DELIGHTED with this brooch.

Smashing, LARGE mixed metals belt buckle in the form of a fish by Antonio Pineda. Although several of the Taxco silversmiths worked with mixed metals, I have never seen a piece before in mixed metals by Antonio so I would think this belt buckle to be quite rare. Very mid-century modern and minimalist in design, it is beautiful and whimsical. It measures 5" by 2" and is in fine original condition. Great looking minimalist ebony and sterling earrings by American Modernist jeweler Ed Levin.C. 1950, these are screwbacks and hang 1 3/8" long. The ebony disk is 3/4" diameter. Signed LEVIN STERLING on the back of one of the disks in block letters. They are wonderful.

Sam Kramer is considered the most significant Modernist jeweler in the U.S. He opened his studio/shop in 1939 in Greenwich Village. Kramer's jewelry was inspired by Surrealist art and a medium for his own kind of expression. American studio jeweler Betty Cooke opened her first retail space in 1946 in Baltimore.Her style is considered spontaneous and according to the book MESSENGERS OF MODERNISM " she likes to think of her jewelry as metal action pieces which are based on the curve." This great bracelet certainly fits that description with the lines bending and curving in several directions as it embraces a large central oval black onyx. It is a collar necklace that opens in the front and is hinged in the back. It will fit up to a 14"neck which is about average. It is 1" wide in the front and tapers to 3/8" in the back. The pair measures approximately 5.25 inches tall and is in wonderful, all original condition! No chips, cracks or repairs. Mild surface crazing present as is appropriate to the age. Uncle Mose is missing a portion of his original cork neck stopper - a very minor inconvenience!
