Very intricate high grade gold hira-makie decoration with Aogai shell inlay and tiny gold leaf squares (kirigane)on tortoiseshell. A beautiful example from the Meiji period (1868 - 1912), Japan. It is 7 inches long and in superb condition.

 

Simple elegance by Miriam Haskell. These faux pearls look real and are very beautiful. The clasp has Miriam Haskell stamped on one side and #3,984,900, a patent number first used in 1976, on the other. 34" end to end.

Brooch is 3 1/4" total length, body of brooch is 1 3/4" in diameter, 3/4" deep. Clip earrings are 1 3/8" in diameter, 3/4" deep.

 

This is a wonderful Bohemian glass vase attributed to Moser comprising a tulip-shaped body with castellated rims on a half dome base, heavily enameled with platinum and gold in an intricate pattern of grapes and foliage decoration, gold banding to rim, in excellent condition, 6 1/2 in H approx.

This is a set of four cased green-to-clear Bohemian lead crystal wine goblets, each comprising a bowl enameled with a Rococo-floral motif in two-colored gold, having an air-twist stem and resting on a conical base. Harrach distinctive gold enamel decoration employed on base and rim, c1900, signed H on underside of base, in excellent condition, H7 1/2 in approx.

This bracelet has everything! Baroque pearls, seed pearls, mirrorbacks,and gilt bows and flowers. It is hinged and fabric lined.It has the Haskell look but it is unsigned. As can be seen in the pictures, there is some corrosion frequently found in older pieces. It is priced accordingly. In my judgement it is highly collectible and wearable, and it is so spectacular that we have broken our rule to offer only pieces that are in perfect condition. Its flaws can be overlooked...

This stunning jacket is in the style of Paco Rabanne. Wear it over, say, a long slinky black dress or pants, very dramatic! It is if disk and link construction which makes it easy to wear and move in. Front opening with oval disk closure at the top. Purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue, New York City, 1967. Large 17 1/2"H lidded jar finely painted in the Kangxi style in sapphire blue on a white porcelain ground. The decoration features a pheasant on a rocky outcropping surrounded by flowering plants which extend around the circumference of the vase and up to the neck, where a second bird perches on a flowering branch. A blue foo lion finial tops the domed cover. The base is encircled by a band of crested waves. The shoulder panel decoration features lotus flowers on a mosaic ground...

Fabulous bold, strong design in this sterling pendant and matching earrings by American studio artist Henry Steig. Circa 1950, the pendant measures 2 1/4" long and 1 1/2" at the widest point. This is a FINE SILVER NATIVE AMERICAN ZUNI BELT BUCKLE. The Design is an EAGLE with Spread Wings. Beautifully Handcrafted with Inlaid OBSIDIAN, TURQUOISE, CORAL, and ABALONE. Glass cabochon and beads with gilt. Haskell is stamped on the shank of the screw-clip. Total length is 1 3/4, dangle is 1 1/8 long and 1" wide.

A very fine early 20th century screen hand-painted simply and exquisitely with the mixing branches of a blossoming cherry and both fresh green and red maple. The painstaking detail in each individual leaf and flower is breathtaking. The awesome scene is triple bordered inside a frame of green brocade, red and black silk and gold. We have had the screen re-backed with original style forest green paper and replaced the black wooden frame. It measures 31-1/2 by 66-1/2 inches (80 by 169 cm).

A colorful and impressive scroll featuring a bushy tailed neko-tora, or cat tiger from the late Edo period. The neko-tora is a by-product of the Japanese closed border policy, rigorously enforced during the Edo period, which eliminated outside trade and influence. Therefore, Japanese artists were forced to come up with their own ideas of what a fearsome tiger looked like based upon older paintings and skins...

This beautiful choker and its fringe is a show-stopper for sure! The 7/8" by 3/8" fringe-ends glow a deep rich red, while the 1/4" round rhinestones glisten. The all prong-set choker is 13 1/4" long with a 4" extension, and is 1" wide. Longest fringe is 4 1/2". Unsigned.

Chinese Tang Dynasty (618-906) Changsha ware pale yellow glazed ewer decorated with light brown-splashed glaze over relief molded leaf-form foliage designs on opposing sides beneath each of two loops. 9 1/4"H. This particular shape first appeared in China in the 8th century and was used for hot water. Very good overall condition. A few small glaze losses to one handle and a few small, fairly unnoticeable repairs to the body...

This is a delicate pair of sterling silver grape scissors made by Tiffany and Co. with handles having applied reticulated scroll design and steel inlaid into the cutting edge of the blade, backstamp somewhat worn, marked Tiffany and Sterling, 5 1/4 in H approx and 1.34 oz.
