Magnificent Hector Aguilar Pre-Columbian necklace and bracelet that join together with a third panel of links to form a 30" belt. The necklace is 17" end to end, the bracelet 7 1/2" end to end, and the third panel of links is 5 1/2". The width is 7/8". The necklace and bracelet are both signed with the HA mark, Taxco and 940. It is in excellent original condition and c.1940.The belt weighs 135 grams...

This magnificent clamper bracelet weighs a hefty 74 grams with the size being 4 inches long to the face front. The back tapers off to 1 1/8in. It bares a JC early hallmark as pictured. No dents or damage but there is some glare in the pictures. A beautiful example and worthy of all Mexican Silver clamper collectors.

Fred Davis pieces are rare and this ring is an excellent example of his work. It is large with a face front of 1 inch tall and width is 5/8th's of an inch. The weight is 12 grams heavy. The stone is cut in an arched bevel with the edges in almost perfect condition and smooth to the touch. You may see some white swirl inside the stone and this is not chipped or damaged but inside the matrix of the stone...

I have only come upon this specific design once in the past - again in the form of a bracelet, that one accompanied by its matching pair of earrings - and have been looking for it since. So here it is, an unusual Deco floral piece, its three-petal links made of thick silver sheet, each one centered by a bezel set turquoise cab. The stones show veining and their color varies from intense turquoise blue to soothing green...

An early, pre-1948 Matl-esque silver, amethyst and turquoise ring, this piece is signed by one of Matilde's contemporaries whose emulations of her designs I came to appreciate for their craftsmanship and beauty of the stones used. This is also a more rare to find variation, having a round face with a deep channel separating the amethyst from the turquoise cabs. The ring is a comfortable size 6 and its face measures 3/4" in diameter...

Iconic William Spratling "River of Life" bracelet in 980 silver. With hallmarks from the first design period, the cuff is 5 3/4" around in the inside with an additional 1 1/8" opening. It is 1 1/4" wide and narrows to 3/4" at the terminal ends, weighs 77 grams, and is in fine original condition with no dents or dings to the balls. Signed as shown. This is a bracelet that should be in every Mexican silver collection.

In 1940 Spratling was commissioned to design the first logo for Aeromexico Airlines then known as Aeronaves de Mexico S.A. The design included a stylized eagle with serpent in its' beak along with AMSA. Penny Morrill's beautiful new book DREAMING IN SILVER (p.111 & 123)discusses this period and features the deeply carved and detailed pin based on Spratling's AMSA design. Measuring 1 1/4" X 1 1/4" the pin is in beautiful condition. The unusual pin closure/safety on the back is tight and secure...
