Rare hand wrought sterling silver, inlaid jasper & azurmalachite stone arrows belt buckle designed and signed (c.1949-52)by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling. Buckle measures 2" X 1 1/4" X 3/8". Will fit up to a 1 1/8" strap. Weight-37grams, 1.3oz. Buckle carries the SPRATLING DE MEXICO mark with eagle 13 which dates the piece to Spratling's Alaskan period. Arrows or darts were often used in his Alaskan designs. Beautiful condition with no dents, dings or repairs...

Early 980 hand wrought solid sterling silver belt buckle designed and signed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling. Buckle measures 1 7/8" across X 1 3/4" high. Fits a 1 1/4" strap. 35 grams, 1.3oz. Spratling's earliest designs were belt buckles. Beautiful vintage condition with no dents, dings or repairs. WS 980 TAXCO.
