Rancho Alegre featured Miguel Martinez as a principle designer and this is an early hallmark of Miguel's as shown. The silver is thick and almost pure. The tips are also beautiful and hand made. The rope is black cording and can be replaced quite easily if desired but it is in it's original state for the purest at heart. I would be happy to put the tips on a new cord for you. A Chinese export rose medallion porcelain vase of baluster form with four applied gilded lizard handles. Circa 1840-50s. The vase is decorated in polychrome enamels with two panels of courtesans with gilding in their hair and with two of butterflies and roses in a vase. Size: 10 inches height x 4.5 inches diameter. Condition: One of the lizard handles is missing a front leg and there is some minor wear to gilding on top rim (See photo details).
