A Viennese cold painted bronze figural, mid to late 19th century. Depicts a young girl seated in a chair and playing with a small cat that is on the girl's lap. The girl is laughing at the cat as she plays with a fringed stick that the cat is grabbing. Another cat is located underneath the girl's chair - probably wishing it could be playing as well. This charming bronze is believed to date to the Victorian era, circa 1860's to 1890's. Excellent condition...

Storekeeper roly-poly tobacco tin, Red Indian Cut Plug Tobacco brand, by The American Tobacco Company. Early 20th century. Size: 7 inches height x 6 inches diameter. Very good condition, some minor paint loss and rust spotting (see photos). The lithograph decorated tin held one pound of tobacco and is in the form of a Store keeper wearing a blue jacket, black bow tie and smoking a pipe. Head lifts off as a cover. No dents.

Finely cast in solid bronze, this pair of Komainu figures, also referred to as Shishi or guardian lions, are diminutive in size, measuring 3 1/8" high x 3", but maintain the fierce and powerful demeanor for which they are known. They have the traditional stance, and one has an open mouth, the other closed, with richly sculpted manes and tails. The patina is very dark, with some verdigris evident in the crevasses, and very light wear where they were handled...
