John Ransmeier studied at the Kansas City Art Institute and at Alfred University. He also studied with well known potter Paul Chaleff. He is a member of the Southern Highlands Craft Guild.

Tom Turner Porcelain Vase with Shino Glaze

This is a porcelain vase by well known, NC potter Tom Turner. It has a shino glaze with what Tom refers to has his faux ash glaze. It measures approximately 8" tall and is in excellent condition. It is signed with three of Tom's TT stamps around the rim and Tom Turner 2 06 on the bottom with an additional TT stamp and a Tom Turner Turner Lane stamp.

Willem Gebben Studio Pottery Sake Cup Guinomi

This is a wood fired, studio pottery sake cup or guinomi by Willem Gebben. It was purchased from the personal collection of Will Ruggles and Douglass Rankin at the Rock Creek Pottery. It is unsigned but bears a label from Ruggles and Rankin stating that it was done by Gebben in the mid 1990s. Ruggles and Rankin founded the Hillcrest Pottery with Gebben so I would consider the provenance to be rock solid. It is in excellent condition. It measures approximately 2" tall and 3" in diameter.
