Chaki is a term that means 'tea vessel' and is basically a chaire or tea caddy used to hold powdered matcha green tea. This chaki is instantly recognizable as from the studio of Kaneta Masanao, a Hagi ceramic artist who has re-shaped how Hagi is thought of. The artist is Kato Touzaburo who is 31st generation in Seto. These two crystalline vases in a blue/brown palette stand 13 inches and 15 1/4 inches respectively. Both are in excellent condition and are marked as pictured.
