Signed Louise Reding Crystalline vase in this rare form. Crystalline glazes are the most difficult to achieve; fired on porcelain to 2400 degrees, the patterns are beyond the potter's control, and each is unique. Measuring 11 1/2" - 29 cm., and signed to the bottom, this piece experienced a separation during firing to the bottom - see images.

This Kouro(Incense burner) of the Bizen ware which Yokoyam Naoki made. This work is made by the technique of "Sizennerikomi". Furthermore, technique "Deisou" which Yokoyama began newly is also used. "Deisou" is usage about the ground with still more iron from "Sizennerikomi". The ground is inserted in like the technique of "Zougan". This splendid yunomi (tea cup) is the work of Suzuki Tomio who is, in my opinion, one of the best Shino potters in Japan.
