This is a nice thrown and altered vase with shino glaze by Paul Dresang. It measures approximately 6" tall and is in excellent condition. It is signed with Dresang's PAD stamp. Paul Dresang received his MFA from Warren MacKenzie at the University of Minnesota. He holds a teaching position at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Dresang work has been widely exhibited.

This is a large unglazed, wood fired, lidded jar by Penland, North Carolina potter Norm Schulman. It measures approximately 9" tall and 9" in diameter and is in excellent condition. It is signed with Norm's chop mark. Schulman was born in New York City in 1924. He attended Parsons School of Design and earned a BS degree from New York University where he took his first ceramic class with Ruth Canfield. This is a large North Carolina folk pottery planter by Vale, NC potter Kim Ellington. It has four handles with glass drips and multiple bands of sine wave decoration with an alkaline glaze. It measures approximately 14" tall and 16" in diameter. It is signed GKE and is in excellent condition. Ellington learned to make folk pottery from Burlon Craig who was the last potter in the Catawba Valley using traditional methods.
