This beautiful yunomi is part of a wonderful collection of tea cups acquired over many years by a private Japanese collector.
The cup is a production piece from the kiln of Tamaoki Yasuo, a recognized potter, born in 1942 in the city of Tajimi, a historical Japanese pottery center. Tamaki Yasuo was an apprentice of Kato Kobei and is a member of the prestigious Japan Traditional Art Crafts Association.
The yunomi is in perfect condition and will be shipped in a signed wooden box.

This beautiful yunomi is part of a wonderful collection of tea cups acquired over many years by a private Japanese collector.
Ota Keizo was born in Tokyo in 1941. In 1968 he established his kiln in the city of Kasama, a famous and active pottery center in Japan, located in Ibaraki prefecture. Ota Keizo has exposed in many venues in Japan, including the prestigious Japan Traditional Art Crafts Association.
The yunomi is in perfect condition and will be shipped in a signed wooden box.

This beautiful set of two yunomi is part of a wonderful collection of tea cups acquired over many years by a private Japanese collector.
Saji Kotaro, born in 1948 in Osaka, was an apprentice of Yamada Seiji in Tajimi. He became independent in 1978. The cups are made in the Oribe tradition of ceramics and they constitute a Meoto: a pair of yunomi to be used by a man and a woman, as one of the cups is larger than the other.
