A striking bowl by pottery master Mukunoki Eizo (b. 1943) enclosed in the original signed wooden box, the dark surface spattered with blots of rich iron. The bowl is 6 inches (15.5 cm) diameter, 2-1/2 inches (6.5 cm) tall and in perfect condition. Born in Shimane, Eizo apprenticed under Kawai Kanjiro in 1958, continuing at his kiln until the masters death in 1966.
