This very attractive guinomi (sake cup) was made by a Hagi potter named Notomi Susumu, born in 1951. His kiln, called O-kazan-choun-gama, was built by his father Notomi Choun (1921-1995) in 1951. Susumu has created the Hagi blue, a wonderful glaze that the cup seems to be wearing like a light robe of silk.
