If you've ever been to a true Japanese meal then you know the wondrous variety of vessels that appear throughout the course. From lowly chopstick rests--hashioki--to large bowls--hachi--the forms and styles are a visual 'meal' in and of themselves. Here is a such a visual delight in this set of five plates, as well as being a fine example of Kouchi Hidetoshi's Oribe. The size is more for appetizers and such. Each plate 2cm.tallx15cm.x15cm., signed on base, no box. We have two sets to offer.

This great piece catches a lot of attention. First off it measures 15” / 35.5cm round. There is a gentle slope to the center of the piece. The geometric patter is very pleasing to the eye a sort of Ying and Yang design. The foot rim is about one inch. This piece of art Pottery is signed on the back and I believe it reads Rothwoman.
