This wonderful 950 silver (higher quality than sterling) necklace by Eduardo Herrera calls two mind two very different images. It looks like coral as well as the cut out designs of Henri Matisse.
The links are hammered. They are 1 1/2" wide at the front and 5/8" at the back. The necklace has exactly the right amount of flexibility to make it very comfortable to wear. It is approximately 18 1/2" long; the natural curve of the necklace makes it difficult to measure precisely.
Sterling silver pendant necklace with a combination of textures. The ball has a lightly scratched surface while the elongated part is made of irregular dots. The silver ring on the cord is a nice added touch. The elongated pieces can be worn side by side or separated. It is hung on a satin cord measuring 23" long that can be adjusted to any shorter length.
Unusual long sterling silver necklace with two alternating finishes. One is a matte surface and the other is what the maker refers to as "chaotica" as it is an allover irregular pattern. The loops are deeper at one end than the other all of which contributes to its unusual look. It measures 29" long; links are 3/4" wide.
This extraordinary necklace was made by Mexican architect turned jeweler, Eduardo Herrera. It is made of oxidized 950 silver (higher quality than sterling) and tumbaga. Tumbaga is a pre-Colombian technique used in Mesoamerica and South America to create an alloy of gold with copper.
The combination of tumbaga with the blackened silver could not be more striking. Herrera's architectural background is evident in the construction of this necklace with elaborately overlapping graduated size links...
Domed and textured squares make for a beautiful necklace by Agnes Seebass. Each square is 3/4" to a side. The length of the necklace is 17". It is striking and comfortable to wear.

Hammered, undulating links of 950 silver (higher silver purity than sterling) have been darkened to create a very dramatic effect. Herrera's work is currently on exhibit at the Franz Mayer Museum in Mexico City. The necklace is 18" long; 2 1/2" at its widest.
