Forty-eight carved birds and critters are strung on red coral tube beads by Zuni Indian artist Dinah Gasper, circa 1980s. Dinah is the daughter of Edna Leki, grand-daughter of Teddy Weahkee.
Three strands are 30" plus the cones, hook and eye closure.
These detailed but small carvings by Dinah include ducks, frog, fish, tadpoles, turtles, bears, wolves, rams, and buffalo, with her signature owls in the center.

Bold and unusual sterling silver and wood bracelet by Violante Ulrich and her partner, Jason. Smooth links alternate with hammered ones. The wood rectangles also vary in placement. The bracelet measures 7 1/2" long and 1 9/16" wide. Violante learned silversmithing growing up on the Spratling ranch. The influence of Spratling's work is clear in her designs and choice of materials, giving them a contemporary twist.

An ultra-modern style studio amethyst sterling ring by C. Noir (Leeora Catalan of New York). This size 6-1/2 ring features a a flashy claw-set 1/3 carat (by gauge) natural amethyst, and it measures 3/4" x 1/2" across the top. This ring is stamped C. NOIR STERLING, it weighs 8.7 grams, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...
Eduardo Herrera's architecture background is evident in the design and execution of his jewelry. This beautifully conceived wide silver bracelet has links that look something like a spine and move like one. The links are 2 1/4" wide and are overlapped with links of a different shape going down the center. All are hammered 950 silver, higher purity than the sterling standard. It measures 7 1/8" wearable length. Herrera's work is on exhibit at the Museo Franz Mayer in Mexico City.
Domed and textured squares make for a beautiful necklace by Agnes Seebass. Each square is 3/4" to a side. The length of the necklace is 17". It is striking and comfortable to wear.
Absolutely stunning, unusual necklace by Mexican architect turned jeweler, Eduardo Herrera. Hammered, undulating links of 950 silver (higher silver purity than sterling) have been darkened to create a very dramatic effect. Herrera's work is currently on exhibit at the Franz Mayer Museum in Mexico City. The necklace is 18" long; 2 1/2" at its widest.
Unusual silver bracelet of overlapping discs. Each is slightly longer than a half circle. The links move well creating a piece that both looks terrific and feels good to the touch. Designed by Manuel Porcayo under the name Hecho a Mano (Made by Hand). It weighs a substantial 139 grams. Links are 5/8" wide.
Finally, after two years of trying, I have gotten my hands on a "Flash Gordon" Sobral purse. Flash Gordon was the series Sobral made of discarded computer mother boards. He found that the metal on these boards was copper, so he polished it and embedded the pieces into black resin. Like everything else Sobral does - no two pieces are exactly alike.
For the unitiated, Sobral jewelry is designed by David Bazil and is made in Buenos Aires...
A superb, handmade, sterling bracelet featuring 4 rows of circular links with hanging tubes that all move by Mexican silversmith Teresa Camino. Her work was represented in the William Spratling Maestro De Plata exhibit and can be found on page 65 of the exhibit catalogue. She was the winner of numerous awards in Mexico and the U.S. before her death in 2003. Her work is still being produced by Albino Guitierrez, her long time silversmith and collaborator...
Handmade silver and copper box links necklace interspersed with balls of rose quartz. Designed by Violante Ulrich in Mexico. Violante's father purchased the Spratling ranch after Spratling's death. She grew up surrounded by the designs and craftsman of the Mexican silver master.
The necklace measures 27" wearable length. Links are 5/16" wide.
This pendant necklace is an unusual design for jeweler, Agnes Seebass. Fine silver wires are intricately woven and inset in a sterling frame. The design is simultaneously strong and delicate. The pendant is hung on a steel cable that is also delicate in width but strong as steel. The pendant measures 1 11/16" wide and 1 5/8" tall.
Choker necklace by Agnes Seebass in which she combines one of her favorite convex links with her other favorite of an ancient Mexican jade bead. Links measure 1 1/3" long. A fresh combination of young and old.
This handsome, sterling and sodalite cuff bracelet can be worn equally well by a man or woman. Graduated size oval stones are framed by triangular bands of silver. Hammer marks on the inside are evidence that it is totally hand fabricated. It measures 1 1/4" wide; inside diameter is 2 1/2" with an opening 1 1/16". The size can be modified a bit, either larger or smaller.
A bold and beautiful sterling and center gold wash ring from the Gusterman silversmiths of Santa Fe, New Mexico. It is a size 6 1/2 and in fine original condition having been purchased new in 2009 at the shop. It weighs 23 grams and the face of the ring measures3/4" long and 5/8" wide.By design,the band is slightly asymetric measuring 7/8" on one side and 3/4" on the other.Signed as shown. A very interesting ring.
Delicate and elegant sterling and pearl cuff by New York designer Robert Lee Morris. It measures 5 1/2" around in the inside plus a 1 1/4" opening and is 1 3/4" wide in the front, weighs 25 grams. All original, fine condition, real pearls. Signed RLM 925 as shown. Lovely on.
