This stand is used in formal tea ceremony to hold a temmoku chawan, it is in perfect condition and is signed. Comes with a signed box. About 8" diameter. Black lacquer with silver rims ( not sure if actual silver ).
A striking kanshitsu (dry lacquer) mizusashi entirely covered in Ginpun silver powder, extremely elegant, enclosed in the original signed double-wooden box by Maehata Gaho. The box is titled Gin Tamenuri, Tanpyo mizusashi (Silver Tame-nuri inverted Gourd shaped Mizusashi). It is 26 cm (16-1/2 inches) diameter, 12 cm (4-1/2 inches) tall and in excellent condition.
