An exquisite faceted Bizen vessel by Ningen Kokuho Isezaki Jun enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Bizen Kuro Ana-kuri Hanaike (Formnig Holes Black Bizen Vase). The form has been gouged and cut, slabs torn off and odd holes sliced into the sides and top. The clay is dark covered in rivulets of flowing ash, which wrap around like many fingers. It is breathtaking, and I am already jealous of the lucky soul who will get to keep it...

Classic Showa era bowl by Ichikawa Kodo (B.1925) this gama-yohen chawan shows a wide variety of textures and colors with wonderful iridescence and copper flashes across the bowl with areas of streaking and feather patterns as well as banded lines flowing across the surface. This chawan is in great, original condition and measures 13.15 x 7.2cm and comes with its signed box.
