Magnificent KJL! It is gold plated metal, it is chunky, and it is very dramatic. This elegant necklace has the look of ancient times and was, perhaps, designed by Kenneth Lane in honor of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Egyptian show in the 1970's. It fits like a choker and has the effect of a large bib. 14 1/2" inside length, front link is 3 3/4" top to bottom. It is thick and chunky.

Composed of three thick strands of rope-like white metal chain, braided into one continuous strand. Very dramatic look, and the necklace is surprisingly comfortable to wear, considering its heft.
